It’s the perfect spot to start a longer on-leash adventure with your dog.

Key Park Features & Amenities

For the Dogs:

  • CRITICAL INFORMATION: Zoned Leash Rules. Dogs are welcome off-leash in the open, grassy areas near the station. However, the park connects to Gore Cove Reserve, a designated Wildlife Protection Area, where your dog must be on a leash in all bushland sections.
  • Bring Your Own Supplies: This naturalistic park does not have water bubblers or poo bag dispensers, so you’ll need to pack your own.
  • For the Humans:

  • Incredibly Easy Train Access: The park is located directly adjacent to Wollstonecraft station, making it exceptionally easy to reach via public transport.
  • Limited Street Parking: Limited on-street parking is available on surrounding streets like Russell Stree* and Milray Avenue.
  • Insider Tip: Starting Point for Bushwalks

Use Smoothey Park as your starting point for the scenic Gore Cove track. This beautiful on-leash bushwalk links all the way through to Berry Island Reserve, offering a fantastic and extended adventure for you and your furry explorer.
