For a proper beach day out with your pup, the dog-friendly section of Silver Beach in Kurnell is one of Sydney’s best. This is a fantastic 24/7 off-leash beach, celebrated for its incredibly calm, shallow waters on Botany Bay. It’s the perfect spot for dogs of all sizes and swimming abilities, especially those who might be a bit nervous around big ocean waves. The long, sandy shoreline provides ample space for energetic pups to have a full-speed run, chase balls, and socialise with the many other friendly dogs you’ll always find here.
Key Park Features & Amenities
This is a very popular destination, especially on sunny weekends. There’s a large, free on-site car park right at the western end of the beach by Bonna Point Reserve, but it’s shared with a popular playground and boat ramp, so it can fill up quickly. You’ll find waste bins at the access points, but you’ll need to bring your own poo bags and water. The adjacent Bonna Point Reserve also has public toilets and picnic tables.
